Importance of data security is ever increasing and Verisoft works with THALES E-SECURITY for delivering best of breed hardware security systems. THALES HSMs are designed to secure the data at rest like databases and disk files and data in transit like ATMs, POS terminals and transaction switches. The worlds biggest banks and card processors rely on THALES for protecting data as well as IT giants like Microsoft and Apple. There are two main groups of HSMs: Payment HSMs: PayShield Family and General Purpose HSMs: nShield Family. These HSMs come in different sizes according to transaction speeds. General purpose HSMs are used for digital signatures, CAs, TSMs, PKI and e-Invoicing projects. Payment HSMs are used for securing and verifying PIN numbers and protecting card holder data, insurance and health information files. Perso HSMs are used for EMV data preparation and EMV and NFC personalization. |
Payment hsmPayshield 9000 family HSMs are used in banking and insurance sector for protecting card data and EMV transaction processing with ATMs and POS terminals. You can also use these HSMs for NFC Host Card Emulation projects with appropriate software. Payshield 9000 will be also assuming the role of P3CM250 HSMs for EMV data preparation and personalization in the near future.
Payshield HSM speed can be upgraded in the field. These HSMs are FIPS 140 Level 3 and certified according to PCI HSM standards. |
general purpose hsmGeneral Purpose HSMs are PKCS#11 standard hardware cryptographic devices which are used plug and play with operating systems such as UNIX, LINUX and Windows and databases such as Oracle and Microsoft Windows to protect the databases and implement PKI based system solutions for Certificate Authorities, Digital Signatures, Software and Equipment Protection, TSM and other infrastructure protection. eInvoice, eNotary, eLedger projects work with nShield HSMs.

emv perso hsmThales P3CM250 was optimized for EMV data preparation and MULTOS data generation and works with Thales P3 software and other compatible software like EMVPREP. It has built in secure functions to make EMV data preparation functions in one step without revealing any intermediate data in clear text. There are various software in the market which claims to do this with a GP PKCS#11 HSM but this can not be truly possible because even these HSMs contains primitive crypto functions but in overall such EMV crypto is really half software and half hardware crypto. The real EMV Perso is only possible with P3CM250 or Payshield 9000.
